a thousand words
Just a post to say that I'm back in Italy and home safely. Already these last two days have been busy and rough--getting back to normal here always takes me some time, and of course there is the jet lag to recover from. Despite the fact that I'm running late this morning (I should really be preparing for my afternoon lessons, and perhaps cooking lunch as well?), I wanted to post a couple of photos from Antonello and my trip back home to the states, plus finally a photo of our niece Miriam!Soon I'll recover from this trip to the states, but I'd like the nostalgia and memories to last me just a few more days please...

Don't take too long relaxing! I gave you an assignment!!! :)
Love the photos! I KNEW you guys would get to Steak and Shake. I have heard of the split shakes there, but didnt know that they had blue ones!
Little Miriam is beautiful!
Cyn from Indiana, er Tuscany...OK really Fusignano!
So cute, Jackie!
What sweet pictures!
thanks everyone! (also, i'll get on that assignment right away--gelato-tasting is WORK? hmmm, i could do that professionally... :))
cyn: the blue ones were just for the dallas indianapolis football game--just a day or so. i don't think they are permanent! :)
Ya, I just realized I sounded like a hard-ass - so let me try again....Just in case you were thinking about visiting a gelateria or not, maybe taking a picture...it's not really important, if you don't feel like eating gelato, that's cool, too. :)
Glad you're back. I feel like the expat bloggers have disappeared!!
Jackie - what a great photo. Ok but that milkshake scares me because of the blue, yet it looks yummy! Beautiful pics, thanks for always visiting mmy pics. :)
Hope you are settling back OK. What was the blue stuff in the milk shakes!

Welcome back to Italy. That's a great pic of you Antonello and Miriam. How sweet. I'm guessing the blue stuff is coconut flavoring? Or perhaps blue curacao, ah... that's why you look so relaxed :)
Girl you better get to work on this blog!
Cyn
Hi Jackie, I'm a fellow expat new to the blogosphere, and I'm really enjoying reading through your entries. Great pics! It's so awesome that you got to meet that little cutie. And, yes, the blue shakes *are* a little scary, but I would've gotten one too :)
