Between Breaks
From the Ligurian coast to bella Firenze
Sorry for the lack of posts lately--last week two of my favorite people in the world arrived: Eric and Corrie. Since their arrival, we have been packing the days with every possible trip that we could think of, starting with a three-day weekend in Genova, the Ligurian coast, and Florence. Genova has been on our schedule for a year now, since last August Antonello's cousin Daniele promised Eric a weekend trip there the next time he came to visit. While we had dreams of a huge group of us going up there, it ended up being just Eric, Corrie, Daniele and me (Antonello had to stay back in Macerata for a caving excursion on Sunday)--which was actually just the right number to soak up the atmosphere of beautiful Genova and the coast around.
I will write more about this trip later, as really I'm just on break between these little trips. Last night I left Corrie and Eric in Florence and headed home late, as today I have to work. Tomorrow, though, means another day trip up to Orvieto to meet them, and finally tomorrow night, we'll all head home to Macerata together. More blogging about these places soon, and hopefully photos too!
